Perimeter Air Monitoring Plans (PAMP) are an essential part of a successful remediation, demolition, construction project, or any project associated with the disturbance of contaminated soils or building materials. They provide guidance for alarming, engineering controls, quality objectives, and operating procedures for technicians and management. Once the PAMP is written there should be little or no questions in regards to air monitoring. A complete air monitoring plan is essential for work to progress smoothly and for data to be qualified and complete. A revised site specific air monitoring plan addresses anomalies and details what a previous plan does not. Using old or outdated plans or someone else’s plan can lead to questions, problems, and either an over designed or under designed plan.
