The iEvac® is the only Smoke/Fire Hood certified to ASTM E2952-14 the American standard for a smoke hood. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has designated iEvac® as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.

The iEvac unique filtration offers three layers of protection:

• By-products of combustion including carbon monoxide, smoke and hydrogen cyanide (in order to protect against carbon monoxide you must add a catalyst to the filter that converts the carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide which is breathed out through the exhalation valve). Please note that all smoke contains carbon monoxide and a traditional filter does not offer protection against carbon monoxide, the number 1 cause of injury or death in a smoke/fire situation.
• Chemical agents such as; ammonia, chlorine, sarin and hydrogen sulfide
• Biological agents such as: anthrax, smallpox, ricin and radioactive particles

The iEvac product line offers the highest levels of protection to ensure a safe evacuation.
