S.O.S. (Safety Optical Service) was incorporated in Dallas, Texas in 1963 and has maintained the same ownership and management for 56 years. The mission of S.O.S. then and now is devoted to the development of innovative new products that encourage employee acceptance and participation in corrective Eye Protection Programs in the workplace.

We are active members of the ISEA (International Safety Equipment Association), VPPPA (Voluntary Protection Programs Participant’s Association)and PBA (Prevent Blindness America). As a member of ISEA we have been involved in the drafting of the ANSI standards for eye protection,Z87 1979,1989,2003&2010 revisions.

Our unique patented lineup of Universal Side Shields are OSHA and ANSI compliant providing the American Worker with a high quality, adjustable, Universal Side Shield solution for their Safety Frame.
