This cooking fire suppression blanket meets ASTM-F 1989, “STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR COOKING FIRE SUPPRESSION BLANKETS,” an international standard published by the American Society for Testing and Materials. Tightly woven in a high quality Kovenex® compound, it will not catch fire. It blocks extreme heat. Unlike fire extinguishers, it does not require refilling and does not make a mess if used.

Kept in a small (11.5” wide) mildew-resistant, bacteria-resistant, durable synthetic fabric envelope, it fits easily in a drawer or hangs on a wall or in a closet, cabinet or pantry. The blanket measures 31.5 by 37.5”, large enough to cover most cooking fires but still manageable. It has a reinforced hem all around and is made in the USA.
