ErgoScience practices the science of work—research-based, peer-reviewed testing and processes that make workplaces better. Ergonomics is the science of efficacy, safety and efficiency in the work environment. These come together in our proactive and reactive ergonomic assessments to help workplaces—and employees—work more healthfully.
Proactive ergonomic assessments prevent injuries by identifying high risk or stressful work practices and making recommendations for change before an injury occurs. Reactive ergonomic assessments prevent further or new injuries after an initial injury has already occurred. Together, they form the comprehensive foundation of our ergonomics program—assessments with the goal of creating a comprehensive set of recommendations for modifying your work environment and/or educating employees on body mechanics, work behaviors and proper positioning that can prevent and reduce injury. It’s an intervention with serious ROI: most recommendations are low cost when compared to the potential price of injuries.
