Diverts and Merges do exactly the name implies. They divert one or more infeed lanes of product flow into multiple discharge lanes, or merge multiple infeed lanes into a lesser number of discharge lanes. Some diverts and merges are static, meaning they are set in position and stay that way for the entire run, others are dynamic, meaning they are constantly shifting lanes to balance discharge lanes or react to downstream conditions in real time.
